Unimpressed!
I originally signed up for your top-tier AppSumo lifetime deal and was genuinely impressed with the value. As a loyal user, I reached out weeks ago to ask if you could offer a discount on your unlimited text-to-speech upgrade (not on AppSumo). At the time, it was priced at $14.56/month (if paid yearly which is the way that I want to pay). I specifically asked because I knew that you said the price was about to increase.
You publicly promised me a discount in a reply to my question (here publicly available on appsumo), You asked me to contact your support team. I did exactly that, three times via email, and received zero responses. Now, the price has jumped to $20+/month, and I never got the chance to claim the discount you pledged.
This isn’t just about the money. It’s about integrity:
You have said publicly that your prices are locked in, at the time of purchase, is this true?
You publicly committed to an offer (at a lower price + discount that I never got) but ignored me when I followed your instructions.
I’ve seen others complain about unanswered support tickets too, this seems systemic.
Loyal (Appsumo) customers shouldn’t be treated this way after investing in your product in good faith.
I’m reasonable, I’d have happily paid the original $14.56 rate (up front paid as an annual payment) minus your discount as promised (which I believe you was offering before it increased previously). If you can honor that original arrangement now (the old price + discount), I’ll gladly update this review to reflect a positive resolution. I want to be a advocate, not a critic. But ignoring customers after making commitments?
I'll happily change my review if something can be arranged but please this just isn't acceptable. Thanks Michael.
