VanChat is by far the best and easiest chatbot for Shopify. I had to get help on my store to ensure that metafield data in my product descriptions was included in the responses from the bot and Lucas and his team got it done very quickly.

We removed our human-operated chat box years ago, as it was just too time-consuming. Imagine all the sales we would have lost - not anymore! : )

I have tried many chat box apps and deleted them all as they were an embarrassment. The way they chatted with customers, giving false information and generally being useless.

Not this one! It's amazing. Trained it on our website, our FAQs, all our articles and interactions on HubSpot over the past few years. It absorbed the lot.

I tested it quite lot by trying to trick it into being a standard GPT, asking it to tell jokes, tried to trap it into giving false answers (and potentially dangerous answers - we sell supplements) and it didn't fall for any of it.

Installed it, within an hour it had already sold a product to a customer who would have likely just left.

I have been evaluating several Shopify Chatbots and I have to say this is my favorite.
Native Shopify integration means that installation and initial training are a breeze. Your Shopify catalog is loaded for training without you having to create a custom app or generate access tokens.
You can set which products from your catalog you want to enable for the AI and even better you can enter granular details for each item like a Q&A and a product alias.
It is super intuitive, I tested it with more than 50 questions and it handled all of them well. The handover to WhatsApp includes a link to the chat history which is super useful

The product is pretty awesome as is but what would make it ace would be
1. To be able to add product recommendations if a particular product is out of stock
2. Syncing with inventory levels in real-time
3. Being able to have variations of greetings
4. Retrain individual responses to improve and refine them
5. Initiate handover to a human when unsure of an answer

Don't sleep on this deal. It's the best Shopify Chatbot I have used so far and I have purchased all that have come through AppSumo and then some.

VanChat is a standout find on AppSumo, particularly for those seeking refined solutions tailored to individual Shopify store owners. Unlike the typical agency tools on this platform, VanChat offers an ideal fit for Shopify store owners specifically. Initially, I hesitated due to the lack of an option to use my OpenAI key, but after testing it out, I am genuinely impressed. It's a straightforward three-plan purchase that was easy to integrate into my Shopify store.

I've tried many chat tools on AppSumo, and while some boast greater customization and broader site compatibility, VanChat shines in its focus on simplicity and functionality. While I'd welcome more customization options, you can still make brand-specific adjustments using CSS on your Shopify store.

A downside is that the AppSumo plans are distinct from the advertised plans, which raises uncertainty about future updates once the tool moves beyond the AppSumo offering. I did ask before I purchased if I would get future updates at the 'Growth Plan' level with a three-plan purchase and got a response of 'Yes, you'll get future updates' without mentioning the specific plan I would get updates for. Despite this, the current version easily earns five tacos, and with multiple features labeled as 'Coming Soon,' there's only room for more improvement.

TLDR: If you have a Shopify store, take advantage of this. You'll regret not snagging it while you could.

Additionally, its proactive sales features help capture opportunities and have brought noticeable sales conversion improvements.
