I’ve only been using this for a couple days but felt compelled to share this is a very well-organized and comprehensive tool. Lots to learn, but software walks you through each step. No regrets on this purchase.
simply wanted to check my subscription after setting up my account with appsumo LTD (Tier 3).
Nothing works. Keep getting "app.viableview.com refused to connect." everytime i click on a new tab.
And it seems like it forces you to connect to your linkedIn profile... not sure why that's necessary to do research????
Going to get my refund if this doesn't get resolved quickly.

Tool for basic Amazon research, but feels a bit unfocused
Edit: After my first attempt at using the platform and leaving a one-taco review here, Ezra from ViableView reached out to me and asked me to give the platform another shot.
After a failed first attempt to connect, I managed to catch up with Ezra last week and he walked me through the platform to show me how to make use of it. Ezra is a very passionate founder, and although I had a rough start with the product, I do believe he truly wants to build something that provides value for his audience, though unfortunately, I don't think it's for me.
The platform essentially pulls Amazon product sales data and helps to calculate total addressable market, serviceable market, and obtainable market for major product categories. In the end, the data it produced wasn't super useful to me, as I'm not looking to compete with other sellers on Amazon in the very broad niches products are typically categorized into, but the searches Ezra conducted did give me a couple ideas that I might consider for accessories I could carry on the specialized e-com shop I'm building.
Although the updated interface Ezra demoed for me was a bit easier to navigate, the team has also added tons of features that take away from the product's focus as a research tool (now it has team chat, project management, and a website builder built in). Although Ezra's pitch was "you don't need slack or Shopify," the capabilities built into ViableView (IMO) in no way compete with these other major platforms, and I'm afraid that trying to make ViableView a "do everything" e-com platform might take away from it's ability to be good at just one thing.
In the end, I don't feel ViableView was super helpful for my purposes, but other less focused e-commerce entrepreneurs might fight some of the basic niche and product research useful as they figure out what they want to sell.
Valuable Market Insights with Room for Improvement
I've been on the fence about this tool, but I finally decided to go all in with T4. It really does provide valuable market insights in an easy-to-digest way. I'm giving it a generous 5 tacos—4 for its current capabilities and an extra taco to encourage further improvement.
Ezra and his team have crafted a tool that delivers in-depth, enterprise-level data in an accessible way, which is fantastic. The insights are presented so that users can easily understand and act on them.
There are definitely some areas for improvement and features that could make this tool even more useful to a broader audience. Here are my suggestions:
Geographical Scope: While the tool currently focuses on the US market, expanding its reach to include European countries and other global regions would significantly enhance its value.
Integrations and API: Adding API and webhook capabilities would be a game-changer, allowing users to pull data into different services and automate processes. Integrations with platforms like Activepieces and Boost.Space would be really welcome.
Services, Not Just Products: Expanding the tool to include data on services—what users and companies are looking for, what they're willing to pay, etc.—would cater to a broader audience, including those in the B2B sector.
Search Volume: Providing more detailed information on search volume, which I believe they already have access to, would help users better understand market demand and spot trends and seasonality.
Data Export: The ability to export data to CSV, even at a granular level for similar products, top shops, and keywords, would be a valuable addition for users who need to analyze data offline.
User Interface (UI): While functional, the UI could benefit from some refinements to enhance user experience and make navigation and working with this amount of data even more intuitive.
Step-by-Step Academy Tutorials: Offering comprehensive tutorials would help users maximize the tool's potential and understand its full capabilities. Some real use-case scenarios would also be great.
Expansion of Data Sources: Further expanding the available sources of data, including more learning platforms like Udemy and Teachable, would provide users with a richer dataset.
Clarification of Metrics: Clearer explanations of metrics like CPC, and whether they relate to Amazon, Google, or other platforms, would help users interpret the data more effectively.
Expansion to Job Portals: Including data from job portals and freelancer platforms like Upwork and Fiverr could provide insights into what companies and individuals are looking for and the going rates for various services.
Overall, ViableView seems like a powerful, robust tool with a lot of potential. With some enhancements, especially in the areas mentioned above, it could become an indispensable resource for market research and competitive analysis. Keep it up, and I'm looking forward to future updates!
