As a company focused on creating impactful training and educational content, we rely on AI tools to help us deliver high-quality videos efficiently. We’ve used Pipio (also through AppSumo) in the past, but we were looking for a more powerful and versatile solution. That’s what brought us to VidBoard.ai—and it’s proving to be a game changer.

We initially started with Tier 4 and quickly upgraded to Tier 5 because we saw the potential right away.

What sets VidBoard apart are the features that truly enhance our production process—diverse and realistic avatars, strong lip-sync accuracy, and intuitive customization options that help us create polished, professional videos fast. The templates and ease of use make onboarding and production seamless for our team.

What really stood out was our team’s conversation with founder Ashwin Madhavan. He was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and sincere in his desire to help us get the most out of the platform. He didn’t just send quick answers—he took the time to meet with us personally and invested a significant amount of his time to understand our needs and offer thoughtful, real-time suggestions to improve our workflow. It’s rare to encounter that level of dedication and insight.

I tried talking to customer service, which was fairly easy to figure out how to do... but the things they told me to do weren't even possible.

I wanted to navigate the voice clone, and was told its on the dashboard. It is not. The creation of a custom avatar requires you to watch several weird videos they sent me via email.

The tool might be great, but I don't know if it is because the UX is just horrible. the search bar on the dashboard isn't a real search bar, just a decoy graphic. The help button at the bottom of the dash is not a button, just a helpful looking place holder.

I can generate the voice just fine, and its decent because its 11 labs, but anything past the first slide is confusing. I wanted to love it, i really did... but even if theres a castle in the middle of this cardboard box, I would have to tear down the wall to make my own doorway to find it.

video generation is new. I get that. When investing in a software thats early adopter in its function, I have patience for the tool itself to develop further... what I dont have patience for is the UX and onboarding to be so janky.

The last straw for me was my concerns being completely dismissed and being gaslit by them in the following email:
"Hi

what you cannot see? you need to log out and login again. The voice cloning feature is right there in front. UX is perfectly fine. We have not received any complaints since we launched our new UI last year. Please go through the tutorials. The information is provided.

I would like to note, I did in fact log out and log back in. It was not there. I am not a newb at software. My guess is that theres a reason all their comments are turned off in their tutorials that are on youtube. And the only way I know that was because I asked and they were sent to me via email. Because the only onboarding is the same each time, and it just says this is the templates. This is the video. This is the xyz. And doesn't tell you how to do anything specific.

vidBoard Support is very good.
Fast response and takes the feedback serious.

Good tool to work with

The file size restrictions is unacceptable. mainly wanted it for captioning, but it says maximum file size 50 MB. Who in the world records in a filesize of less than 50 mb?
While entering characters for script, it allows only 300 characters in one go.
Too less.
It says, dont put special characters in the script, I am surprised Cant AI do this much for us?
I was just getting started and faced so many bumps on the way. I cant go any further with this app.
