Wonders AI

Product details

Q: Hi, could you please clarify a few points about the Tier 1?

1. What exactly counts as one AI search? Is there an affordable option to buy extra (e.g., 50 searches) if needed, instead of waiting until next month?

2. Which features are missing from Tier 1 besides team-related ones?

3. Does Tier 1 include access to full PDFs or only abstracts?

4. Since patent search is included, would you consider adding publicly available whitepapers?

5. Can Tier 1 users save or re-run previous queries without using extra search credits?

6. Could you consider hosting tutorials on YouTube for better accessibility via auto-translations?

7. Could you elaborate on the academic sources and what percentage of the 500M documents they represent?

8. Will Wonders AI be able to monitor and suggest newly published studies related to what we save in our workspaces so that we can stay on top of future developments? Thanks!

A: Hi, InvestHealth for sure!

1) An AI search equals one submitted search in a column or an edit. So if you have a search board with five columns and make 2 edits to each column, you will consume 10 searches

→ It's not yet available, but we're exploring ways to allow purchase of additional search credits to make this possible. I added your idea to our roadmap, feel free to support it: https://wonders.featurebase.app/p/purchase-more-search-credits

2) Tier 1 has lower limits on searches, shared boards, no team seats, company creation and management, and eventually PDF uploads. It is mostly designed for casual usage.

3) Any plans include access to Full PDFs, where available (OpenAccess resources). We're going to build a PDF upload function in the near future.

4) We have had both requests for own PDF uploads (https://wonders.featurebase.app/p/upload-own-pdfs-for-analysis) and for custom sources from URLs (https://wonders.featurebase.app/p/add-custom-content-sources). We'll be prioritizing PDF upload first. Welcome to support both ideas & leave a comment on how you'd use these features to help us with design.

5) Unfortunately, re-ran queries count towards searches. As you can imagine, it is exactly the same cost and amount of AI tokens as a new search. :(

6) I hear you, and we will eventually work on our YouTube presence. I can't share a timeline on this just yet.

7) Academic sources represent roughly a half of our pool, with about 40% of that being OpenAccess. You will find works from both top and niche journals in about any domain and geography.

8) Ah! Love that as a feature idea. Again something I'd encourage you to add to our roadmap.readwonders.com — funnily, this was exactly where we started with our project before it evolved into a more workflow-oriented tool. We might bring this back at some point.

Thank you for the clarification. We hope monitoring new research will be added soon. We also noticed your responses to MenScript and hope memory features will be included. Both would greatly enhance Wonders AI’s value. If they were to be added, what do you think could be a realistic timeframe for their release?

No problem. I'm not sure what exactly do you mean by "memory". It might be worth clarifying that our workspaces are persistent and your content will be "in memory" there. Wonders is not a typical chatbot. We basically only use chat for retrieval of information—most of our workflow is done with other kinds of UI.

We have one researcher who reviews scientific papers almost daily, raising concerns about Tier 1’s credit limits, also as you mentioned it being for casual usage. The jump to Tier 2 is significant and includes seats and collaborative spaces we don’t need, making us unsure if Wonders AI fits our cost-benefit needs right now.

To be honest here, the Tier 2 seats and workspaces are only there to sweeten the deal. The search credits are really what drives our costs. We might in the future introduce other ways to top-up your credits, or even offer BYOK function so that you could plug your own AI model's API keys.

We’ll continue monitoring reviews, Q&A, and updates while considering our options. We already use Perplexity Pro and DocXter, so Wonders AI is appealing but we have budget constraints.

By the way, are there any plans to launch an affiliate program with recurring payments? If yes, any timeframe?

Totally understand, tooling is not cheap!

We are in fact planning to launch an affiliate program with recurring payments :) not yet sure on the exact timeline, but it might be in the next few months.

Than you for the detailed answers, Joe. With memory we were referring to "Final question: If I point out that an answer provided is incorrect or incomplete, is Wonders AI able to adjust future responses based on this feedback, or does it treat each query independently? I.e does it have "memory"?" from MenScript. Ability to remember context and objectives would be great.

Got it, thanks for expanding on this. We'll consider this for future updates!
