Q: This tool is to facilitate video hosting (it's not actual video hosting), correct?
To be clear, this tool seems to be more about facilitating video hosting with third-party hosting, it's the hand-shake but it's not actually video hosting.... Did we get this right?

yes, that is exactly correct.
We created it because S3 can be so confusing to work with and wanted a simpler way of using it for hosting videos on our own blog membership sites.
