Q: Questions:
-I guess this is more for people building websites in Wordpress correct?
-Any plans to add a cloud/desktop version for others managing marketing/business non web development tasks?

Mar 25, 2025A: Imagine it as a self-hosted cloud version of an all-in-one service business management suite powered by WordPress. WPNakama is meant for handling a service business. Taking care of clients, work allocation, hierarchy, deadlines, files, transparency, team productivity, and what not in WordPress.
Any business type like Law firms, marketing agencies, publishers, design studios etc, anyone can use it.
Now why WordPress and not SaaS because almost all SaaS tools charge per seat per month. Second is the lock-in issue. For instance, if we found some other better tool, then we can not simply take all our content and data to the new platform because in the SaaS world, we pay for usage, not data. So, mostly, we don't own our own data.
Whereas in WPNakama ecosystem, No per-seat payment and we own all our own data.

Thanks for clarifying interesting approach! does your tool have an internal chat system built in like trello or teamwork has? for teams to chat on different projects but also amongst themselves?
We're currently working on this exact feature, Chat between team members as well as with Clients. However, due to the complexity of this feature, we are unable to provide a precise timeline for its release at this time.
