I have a pre-sales question about Emailit's Terms of Service related to my use case.
I plan to run my own mail server through Cloudron, which only supports receiving emails by default and requires a third-party SMTP for sending. I own a domain name that I want to use for personal email, but I don’t have a live website associated with it.
I noticed that Emailit's ToS states a live website is required for any domain configured with Emailit's SMTP. Does this requirement apply only to email marketing campaigns, or does it also pertain to my use case? I’m NOT going to run a marketing campaigns from that particular domain name.
We do require a running website on the sending domain, because it improves the deliverability. So it is in your own interest to have at least a simple website on the sending domain to ensure that your emails do not end up in spam.
Sure, just add a footer on how to contact you, ideally, Business name if any, contact person, and email.
Q: Dashboard Credits Question
Thanks for coming to AppSumo!
I bought Tier 5, and I am logged in and looking at my usage screen. I see there it says I bought Tier 5 with 1,000,000 / monthly. But two lines above it there is this:
"Email Credits Your current email credits state. = 1000"
Those are our normal email credits, as AppSumo is a special deal. Email credits you can always purchase directly from us and in your case would be used if you would go over your monthly quota.
Yes, it is correct. You will see your Tier license, and below it, you will see our normal Email credits that you can purchase directly from us even after the AppSumo offer ends. You can find more about our standard pricing here: https://emailit.com/pricing
Q: Overage pricing, dedicated IP...
Hi there, we send around 1,600,000 messages per month. Could you clarify if the 1M limit on the deal is a hard cap, or do you offer an overage pricing option for Sumolings? Also, do you provide a dedicated IP add-on, and if so, what’s the pricing? Finally, we typically see hourly peaks of 3,000 to 5,000 messages — could you share any limits or throttling policies that might affect that volume? Thanks!
once you would go over your monthly Tier quota, you would need our normal email credits, as shown in the pricing here: https://emailit.com/pricing
We do offer dedicated IP on yearly basis $300/yearly per IP. But we are running a limited time offer on our discord for last 6 IPs. More info you can find here:...
But in the future there may be an issue with purchasing additional codes.
Could you offer Sumolings an additional discount for additional codes (e.g. 20-30%) from the list price: https://emailit.com/pricing 🤔 I think Sumolings would appreciate it and you would gain regular customers for many years and they will definitely use and promote your solution.
This is a special LTD offer that has a great amount of features and limits as it is intended to be limited. However, our normal pricing is very competitive, so there should be no worries about being pricy after this offer ends.
We want to get Emailit to as many customers as we can, to be able to collect all the feedback and improve the platform based on it. This LTD deal is in no means the main source of income, but more of an opportunity for both sides.
🤔 Many companies also offer referrals and affiliate programs that lower the price, and here you could direct it directly to Sumolings so that they choose your company for implementations and not the competition, of which there are many.
I have also seen that many companies here on Appsumo introduce such special prices precisely for those who have purchased lifetime offers.
Q: I bought level 2 over 60 days ago, I want to upgrade to level 3, how can I do that?

This is also the reason why it is mandatory.

So in theory, if I have a simple “Website Is Coming Soon…” landing page, I’m good to go?

Hi,
Giving additional discounts would increase interest even more.
Some people may buy Tier 1 to ensure better code prices.
And you should care about selling codes because that is your main source of income.

We do plan to have affiliate for out products, but not as long as we are on AppSumo.

But you could already introduce better prices discounts on codes today.
I think 20-30% would be even more convincing to buy at least Tier1 or Tier3.
🤔

We do not plan any changes at this time. Our pricing is very competitive, allowing us to improve the platform steadily.
