The sales commission rate is a transactional fee that is applied to the sales that you do through your Academy (using Stripe or PayPal). So, when you sell a course (or any other product), a percentage fee ranging from 2-10% is applied (depending on your lifetime deal plan).

Why would you get any sales commissions if you do not market the courses, do you do any marketing outside to help generate a sale tu be entitled for a sales commission?
Instead of limiting courses, storage, or students like most lifetime deals, we chose a small transactional fee, so you only pay when you make sales. This keeps our lifetime deal sustainable without restricting growth. While we don’t actively market individual courses, we continuously improve the platform, optimize sales processes, and add features that help creators sell more effectively.
I agree with this sentiment and don't agree with the platforms forced commission. They should be receiving sales of any kind from there own efforts of getting customers. Mentioning that you'll continue to build that platform should happen regardless. Unless your building the platform around my needs I'm better off paying a fee on a bigger platform equivalent to the commission rate they would get.

I can upload videos into your platform and users will consume from your servers. Am I correct?
Yes, you can upload your videos directly to Forento, and they'll be hosted with us (at no extra cost). You can also choose to embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo.

1. There's no lifetime deal tier that allows you to manually assign products to customers. Anyone is welcome to sign up for your academy and access the free products you've got published, or purchase the premium ones you've put behind a paywall. If you'd like to give free access to paid products to members, then you can use the discount codes feature.
2. There's no direct newsletter feature in Forento. We did, however, very recently introduce the "Community post email". This email template allows you to send a customizable (HTML) email to all your community members when you (or any of your co-admins) post within the community. A great way to share news, announcements, or special offers.
3. The content dripping feature for courses in Forento is limited to the Scale plan. The Scale plan is $149/month on our website but is offered as an exclusive addon to anyone with a lifetime deal redeemed for as little as $50/month with occasional discounts.
That's right! As a lifetime deal member of any plan, you can get the Scale plan for as little as $50/month, at times with additional discounts as well.
