Formly is incredibly user-friendly, with almost zero learning curve for those familiar with Typeform. Having used Typeform for the past 4 years and created over 300 forms, I found transitioning to Formly seamless. The interface feels intuitive, and the overall workflow is smooth, making it an excellent tool for both beginners and experienced form creators.

Based on its pricing, Formly is an excellent value-for-money alternative to Typeform. For those looking for similar features at a lower price point, Formly delivers well. I would confidently rate it 5/5 in terms of affordability.

Areas for Improvement
While Formly is a strong contender, there are a few areas where it could improve or even surpass Typeform:

Keyboard Navigation - Adding the ability to press “Enter” to navigate to the next page would enhance usability and make the form-filling experience faster and more accessible. I saw some comments by Q1 2025.

Image Loading Speed - Even compressed images (e.g., 50kb) load slower than expected. For image support webp for background or welcome screen.

Tracking and Analytics - The current tracking options use GTM thank-you provide inaccurate data tracking. It better integration GA 4 event tracking from open form to submission.

Auto-Save Feature - There have been instances where I forgot to click “Publish,” and exiting the form meant losing updates. Auto-saving changes in real time would prevent such errors and enhance productivity.

Final Thoughts
Formly is an impressive alternative to Typeform, delivering similar functionality at a fraction of the cost. While there are a few areas for improvement, the overall experience is positive, and it’s a tool I’d recommend to anyone looking to create engaging forms without breaking the bank. If these minor issues are addressed, Formly has the potential to become a market leader.

Seems like real good improvements to the 1.0 version. First test are working really good

I had was using from before without drop down menu.. i was only limited to multiphiole choice and short answers but formly has so many customizable fields. like drop menu, email verification. Forms and quizzes are completely customizable.. so many free templates to choose from.. I higly recommend.. the staff and team are a huge help as well!!

Formly is a great product, it works great. And their features are quite solid! There are a couple of things that are still in the works, but most of them are for specific configurations or sort of niche sets. The upcoming features are great, and the team is working really hard to get them out as soon as possible. What's even more awesome, is the care and interest they have got when you contact them for support and feedback.

This is definitely a great alternative to other form services!

A month ago I contacted Formly's support to find out if I was able to create Personality and other types of Self-Discovery quizzes. I received a very professional reply saying it was not not yet available, but we are working on it. Today I received an email saying that it is now available. Normally we are told, put it as a suggestion on our roadmap. Or, check back later. Instead, Fromly contacted me directly to inform it was available. They respected me enough to notify me, I can at least leave a positive review for them. AND, I stacked 2 more Appsumo Codes.
