A: Thanks for the question. Originally we were hoping that we would be able to release the MacOS app and the Windows app together. Unfortunately each OS requires so much custom system integration that we weren't able to develop them in parallel. Therefore we ended up focusing on the MacOS app first.
Now that the MacOS app is stabilized, we are focusing on the Windows app. Given what we learned...
Data Security and Privacy Question: if I delete the entire session data, will it also be deleted from your cloud storage if it's been stored on the cloud?
A: Thanks for the question! Yes, deleting a session will also delete the cloud sync version of that session.
Do note that Google Cloud (our infrastructure provider) keeps a database backup for 30 days, so the session data does remain in the backup for that period of time. After that the backup is deleted and no record remains.
A: Arabic is supported as a session language in the MacOS app. It is supported as a chat language in all apps. Unfortunately at this time our speech recognition model does not support it on mobile yet, but we look forward to adding that capability over time.
A: Yes! Hedy can definitely help with sales conversations. Just make sure to add information about yourself and what you are selling to the custom session context so Hedy can help you with specific details.

Hey team, been testing out the hedy app. Everything looks great, except for 1 potential issue. I'm on zoom calls for 3-6 hours/day (remote work). I just tried the MacOs app, and it doesn't seem to access the system audio. I'm always taking calls with headphones on, so I'm curious if this is an error on my end or something that the Hedy team is working to incorporate.
A: Thanks for the question! The MacOS app should absolutely be able to capture the system audio. We do ask for that permission when the first session starts, but perhaps something went wrong.
Please check your system settings --> Privacy & Security --> Screen and System Audio Recording and make sure Hedy is enabled in the "System Audio Recording Only" section.
