To start for clarification on keywords and counting, the keywords tracking count is based on the individual keyword and not the keyword per grid point. So adding 1 keyword, their map grid contains 13 points adding 1 keyword only counts as 1, so the 1,000 is a solid amount. With 12 accounts linked and 8 keywords per account i'm only at 98.

This is a nice dashboard and one I wanted to get to move away from SEranking, even my clients like the map where you can change to see where on the map your competition is via pins, that is very helpful to show the competetiveness and density. The reports are improving and starting to show all keyword rankings that are added to the tracking and not just the most improved as it was before.

So far posting works well, nice an easy to schedule and those also show in the reports which is a nice addition. Also keeps them organized under each accounts profile and not all together.

Only adjustment I requested was the automatically reject external changes option is great, but since it will also reject those who are logged into the profile for manual changes, having this option on an individual account basis vs I think all accounts would be beneficial as some I may want to lock down but not others.

Roadmap changes seem to be coming out on schedule which is nice to see, can't wait to see what ideas get added for Q3 & Q4 this year.

Setting up Rating Captain Local was seamless and intuitive—no need to contact support. An older Google Business listing was recognized immediately, while a newer one was added automatically after a short delay. The optimization suggestions for the listing were particularly helpful. Reviews appeared promptly, with notifications for new star ratings. Responses could be generated directly in the tool in the review’s language, with well-crafted wording, and sent immediately, making the process efficient. Account changes were reliably and instantly communicated via email, allowing direct acceptance or rejection—for instance, if pranksters attempted to submit false information—providing control and security. It’s also noteworthy that a separate request of mine, not part of the deal, was at least considered as a possible option. This flexibility and openness are not to be taken for granted. Overall, the tool offers a solid way to monitor and manage your Google presence—an important aspect, as many customers discover businesses through Google.

I purchased Tier 5 of Rating Captain Local with a lot of excitement and high expectations. Right from the start, I could see the tool had serious potential. It already delivers accurate local keyword tracking, has a super intuitive interface, and offers responsive support — which, in my opinion, puts it ahead of many other SEO tools I’ve tried.

What really excites me is the platform’s growth potential. It’s clear the team knows the value of what they’ve built, and the next step is to invest in solid planning with experienced testers to ensure greater stability and anticipate critical scenarios.

But what truly makes me believe in this tool is what’s coming next. If they manage to implement intelligent AI-powered workflows — similar to what tools like n8n and Make offer — that would be a huge game-changer. I imagine features like automatic response generation, predictive analysis based on reviews, and even automations that react to drops in local rankings. That would open up a whole new world of possibilities, especially for professionals working with SEO at scale.

I’m confident that Rating Captain Local has what it takes to go beyond its current stage and become an international reference. I’m all in — rooting for them and keeping an eye on every update.

First of all: the post creation is MEH, but oh well, I've scheduled one just to test - only to figure out that it never posted - just sitting there in "planned" almost 2 days later - when tried to edit it - The Post Heading was fine - the Learn More button turned into "Book now"...and still not able to post - even though all accounts were connected properly and the system sees the already posted content from other sources.
The Competitor Strategy research doesn't exist, or maybe it does somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it anywhere. When I tried to schedule a support call on this issue, it only offered time for Poland, so for California, the only times available were between 11 PM and 3 AM. I decided to make an effort and stayed late for the call, was waiting for 40 min. and no one was there, the system rebooked my call automatically for 3 AM the same night. Thanks - but no thanks. The only useful thing about this is to see all your accounts in the same dashboard with reviews and other data, but I wouldn't pay for this. I wanted to be able to post content for multiple accounts, to see how to outrank the competitors or how my account compares to theirs, as stated in the description.

The tool has a very clean and modern interface, and overall it seems to have a lot of potential. That said, there are a few limitations that currently make it difficult for me to use effectively.

One issue I encountered is that the quick scan doesn't detect some profiles — even though they are relatively new, they already rank well and even appear in competitor scans. Unfortunately, there’s no option to manually add these profiles via a Google Maps URL, which is something many other tools offer and is quite important for flexibility.

Another limitation is the way ongoing tracking works. It's only possible if all Google profiles are connected, which adds quite a bit of complexity. Other tools are more flexible in this regard. Having to connect each individual account just to keep an eye on the ranking grid is a bit too inconvenient for my workflow.

Also worth mentioning is the ranking grid itself. The marketing screenshots suggest a wide and detailed grid view — but in practice, it’s fairly limited. While it is possible to create a custom grid, even large areas are limited to just 13 data points. These are fixed and can’t be deactivated or customized individually. In our case, for example, a large river runs through the service area, meaning that half the grid points are located in the water and therefore completely irrelevant.

In summary, the tool looks great and clearly has a lot of promise. But as of now, it doesn’t quite meet my practical requirements. I’ll definitely keep an eye on future updates, though — there’s a solid foundation here.
