Got an email and was excited to see that Brandy is not dead.

Went to see the account and there's gazillions of new features but none are included in the app sumo plan.

To even try bento layouts and sub collections I would have to pay 350 dollars so it's impossible for me to review this product any further.

Saw potential in this app when it came out, but then it simply got abandoned for many years. Honestly could have used my money better because I thought sumolings will perhaps get some updates in the future.

Maybe it's a good app if you pay what they are asking which is $5,000/ year for the full feature set.

Brandy is actually a very good tool. The possibility to download logos in custom sizes is unique and very helpful.
Unfortunately, we cannot use Brandy to the extent we would like. We only use Brandy internally and do not officially communicate the website to Clients and Partners as we would like.

The reason for this is two features that are not included in the AppSumo deal, which makes the site simply look unprofessional:
- Firstly, the Brandy favicon, which cannot be replaced with your own in the AppSumo plan (and - with all due respect - is quite ugly).
- Secondly, there is no option to create subfolders or subcollections, which can make things look very confusing.

These features are only available in the Business Plan ($350 per year) and not in the Pro Plan ($50 per year) offered on AppSumo.

You keep getting the message: "Features are only available on business plan or higher. Upgrade to the business plan or higher to start using Feature."

I wondered why Brandy doesn't offer higher tiers, as is usually the case on AppSumo. I now suspect that this is their business model because after hitting the aforementioned limitations a few times, I promptly received an email from Brandy with the following content:

"We noticed that you’ve encountered a restriction while trying to create sub collection. To maintain uninterrupted access to our premium features, we recommend upgrading to a higher-tier plan that better suits your needs. Upgrading your plan ensures you continue enjoying the full range of services and benefits Brandy offers, without limitations. Upgrade now!"

Withholding simple and essentially fundamental features like a custom favicon (especially on a white-label domain) or subfolders to push AppSumo members into more expensive, paid subscriptions? I hate that.

I needed a solid solution to provide clients with a brand center. This solution delivers the basics. Lots of customization options, including custom domains, custom logos, etc for each brand space. Besides logos, fonts, colors, you can add any type of section (called collections) including text styled with markup to provide the client with usage instructions, or other information like brand personality, tone, etc.

Had a small issue with my account being activated in the free plan instead of the pro plan, but their support responded and immediately corrected the issue.

I’m literally a lovesumo ling. And SAAS like these are the sole reasons. Good Luck and thankyou for lifetime sub.

BTW : Great Product. You’re not gonna regret it. Just Go for it…

I'm a brand strategist and designer so aeshtetics are important to me. Simplicity and function are just as important. I think this is a wonderful product! It is bare bones but promising. Everything is so expensive right now, and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to pay a single price and have a great tool to share clients' branding with them. I haven't fully had the opportunity to test everything yet, but so far, no complaints, and I'm very pleased with it. I previously created my own brand standards for clients via PDF and Adobe, then moved to Standards. Standards is not worth the money, in my opinion. I very much recommend it.
