Well, it is ok but honestly not for advanced ComfyUI users
AppSumo deal was pretty interesting and quite honest. However if we have to rate MimicPC, well... Couple of things. I am mainly a comfyUI user. I have hundreds of workflow running locally on a 4060 16GB and I wanted to offload something to this mimicpc. First thing you notice is that the application is quite easy to use and set-up. The filesystem manager is pretty barebone but it works. 50 GB are definitively very tight, specially if you are using SDXL and Flux custom checkpoints and/or Loras. btw the very problematic point to me is the overall speed. ComfyUI takes roughly 2 minutes to startup, and it is still acceptable. However, if you choose Medium size, consider the workflow which normally on a 4060 takes less than 3 minutes, here it takes almost 14 !!!! It is pretty slow, and I tested using a SILVI-2 like method of upscale (2x) and SDXL refiner. VERY slow, in a 30 minutes session I could generate two images (stated that all models and controlnet were already in-place). In 30 minutes on a 4060 same workflow produced 10 images. Do your math here. So, yeah can be an interesting option maybe for FaceSwap or, for Comfy, if you have simple workflow (I did not try Flux yet, but SD15+SDXL are painfully slow in medium mode). Definitively I would not recommend as your main AI tool (unless you use bigger shapes than Medium) AND if you already have all your workflows. Remember than every minutes count, and if you plan to setup workflow within mimicpc you end up to pay really an amount I think. It is good to have a comfyUI on the go, that works, but as said, do not expect too much. Or you can plan your budget using Large flavour as your reference. Did not try yet but most probably that size will give you acceptable performance but with higher costs.

Really usefull
With this platform, you can run different apps directly in your browser without needing powerful hardware. It's been incredibly useful for me, as I can now use various AI tools without complicated installations. Plus, if you have any questions, the team is quick and friendly in responding on Discord. I started with tier-3 and now I'm tier-5. As they keep updating the AI tools and every day this tools are getting better I think is a very good product.

Dont get confused, the time is runing and it cost you every sec
I have six months of experience with these tools on my local PC (with Stability Matrix), and I am taking my time to set up everything. My laptop has a 3060 Nvidia GPU, and while there are no issues, videos take time to process.
However, the MimicPC system is not about the generation of images or videos; it’s about time. From the moment you start the server, it costs you money.
When you want to create a new image or video or use any other tools, it takes time to fill in the details, tune settings, play around, and much more. You can't do this "offline"; the server needs to run for that, and it costs you money every second.
For example, just leaving your app open for 10 minutes without generating anything (pretending you're playing with all the settings) costs you $0.10 on medium hardware.
So, it depends on what you are really using and whether this deal is worth it for you.
This business model of MimicPC may survive for only a year; all of the apps are open-source, and everything is moving so fast.
Ultimately, it comes down to whether it's worth it for you to spend $50 for one year to create 100 images per month.

Perfect for AI use
I just bought the top-tier MimicPC plan. It's a beast of a platform for running AI apps like Stable Diffusion, Flux, and FaceFusion... Everything's always up-to-date and the Discord support is lightning fast. Only downside is I wish the GPU rental was a bit cheaper...

A single use case: FaceFusion
After testing the app for a couple of hours, I’m really pleased with the results.
I wanted the deal for FaceFusion, and it worked exceptionally well! I followed the tutorial and easily switched and modified faces in a video, which was great.
There's also a surprise with OpenVoice. It's easy to upload an audio of your voice and create a text read by you. It did it fast even with the Medium setting.
I like that I can stop the server when I'm not using it and restart it later, as I only pay for what I use.
Some models and interfaces are harder to understand so you have to watch the tutorials. Anyway, overall, you can get a good idea of how to use it in a short period of time if you're used to playing with new tools. (Like many Sumolings do).
That said, I would appreciate more gigabytes, but I understand they need to cover their costs. Overall, if you're looking to test different open-source models, it's definitely a great option!
