Hello, I am ready to buy Modular DS. It looks fantastic. I just have one last question. Will future updates be included. I understand that future updates from the starter plan are included in the deal but are there any major updates planned for the business plan? I also understand that even most of the business plan features are included from tier 3 onwards. That's really generous and perfect for me since we are not an agency but run a dozens websites for our own businesses. So I love the offered plans. I am just worried about the possibility of missing out on any major updates. Please clarify. Thank you!
I can tell you that the most important updates will be for all PRO plans. Like we have always done. You can see in our plans now that the only feature exclusive to the Business plan is the White label plugin. Our focus is that even small agencies or freelancers can enjoy Modular with the basic plans. And the difference will be more with number of websites always.
Hi, I tried your free version and made a backup of a website. I tried to download the backup and expected maybe a compressed file. But 32 files were sent to my browser, and my antivirus program went crazy. 16 of the files were marked as trojan script/phishing.bg and put in quarantine. After a while, I was able to release them from quarantine. But here I am with a collection of 32 ZIP files. How is this supposed to be restored?
The number of zip files may vary due to the size of the backups, as it is done in parts.
As for the “infected” files, we do not add any type of file that is not on the website. You can check the source code of our plugin in the WordPress repository. https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/modular-connector/

Is it self hosted and what about other analytics like Independent Analytics integration?

No, Modular DS is no self-hosted. It is cloud-based.
And we still only have Google Analytics and Search Console integrations for stats, but will definitely try to add more in the future :)
