Thanks, Ivan. I have replied back to you on the email about upgrade price from old 2x codes to the new Tier 3. Please check.
Q: Unlimited Sites = 100 Sites???
I bought the Tier 3 for unlimited sites. I noticed in the dash under license management it says...
"Maximum number of active sites is limited by the product you purchased. While you can create 10 licenses with 10 sites max each (giving you a theoretical total of 100 active sites) you won't be able to simultaneously activate more sites than set by your purchase. For purchases with unlimited number of active sites, the limit is 100 per license."
If you have Tier 3, you have unlimited, do not worry :)
Due to security reasons, each license can hold up to 100 sites. But since you have unlimited, you can create as many licenses as you want, giving you an unlimited number of sites :)
If you have any further questions or need help with the plugin, please contact our support directly via email.
I noticed that I lost connection to Google Drive. I then checked my dashboard on your website, and it is down: "Error establishing a Redis connection". Is this temporary problems?
Q: Some questions about WP Reset vs other dev tools like InstaWP and WPvivid
Hi Team, I'm interested in adding this to my tech stack but still on the fence whether it would actually be useful for me or not. Perhaps you could nudge me in the right direction :)
I already use tools like InstaWP to spin up fresh WP sites with the press of a button for testing plugins, themes, etc., or WPvivid for creating replica staging sites and scheduled backups to cloud.
If something breaks or I want to 'reset' to try something new, a combination of these tools is usually enough to get me back up and running.
That said, here are some questions:
1. How would WP Reset come into play? Would it be useful alongside these aforementioned tools, or would it be redundant?
2, Can you give me some common use-cases of WP Reset that the other tools wouldn't be able to do?
3. What's the difference between 'regular' and 'cloud' licenses?
A: Hi, Thanks for taking an interest in WP Reset! :)
1. Yes, it could still be useful. WP Reset is not a backup plugin, and it only works with a database. So, that means it works much faster than backup plugins. If you are testing something and need a couple of resets, it would be much faster than other solutions like full backups. It also comes with various tools that will help you reset/clean...
Thanks, Ivan. Very helpful and some of the features look promising.
I didn't quite understand your #3 answer though — still not sure why there are two types of licenses; the "regular site" ones and the "cloud site" ones?
For example, if I buy Tier 3, I can add WP Reset Pro on unlimited sites, right? But I also only have 30 cloud licenses, so essentially it's not unlimited sites, but a max of 30?
Hey, In your example, you can create unlimited licenses and use the plugin on unlimited sites. But on those sites, you're not connected to a cloud, meaning you either work without it (and not upload your snapshots and collections, so they stay only in the current database) or you must use a 3rd party cloud system for them.
Got it! So cloud licenses are used for storing snapshots and collections on your servers (which is why it's limited), but we can create unlimited licenses for storing those features on our own hosting or external cloud storage. Makes sense, many thanks for clarifying!
Q: wp reset versus sigmaplugin
Hi wpreset,
new to wordpress here. i was wondering if you could help explain the difference between a wp database cleaner and a wpresetter?
..and does WPReset do both? this competitor of yours has two separate solutions Advanced WordPress Reset and Advanced Database Cleaner by SigmaPlugin. Their limits suck compared to yours, I am just wondering if I also need a Cleaner in addition to wpreset Pro?
WP Reset can obviously reset your site/database, which means it will restore it to a prior version (you have stored in the form of a snapshot). So the reset would wipe everything that happened after that snapshot (you wouldn't have plugins/themes/code/any changes after that). On the other hand, a database cleaner will help you clean your database...
thank you Ivan for breaking it down for a newbie like me. I now understand the difference to some degree in layman terms. One follow up, does WP Reset have a database cleaner for those orphaned objects etc? or would I need a separate tool? it sounds like it does both, but just need to verify. thank you again
haha no need to be sorry. if anything its me not understanding anything being my very first wordpress server i setup. after some digging, i understand they are two separate tool functionalities, just wanted to make sure WP Reset did both so I could refund other I bought. Sounds like I need both afterall now that I understand how they work. I also see comment about Lockdown thank ya for the help!!!

So is it "unlimited" or "100" sites at Tier 3??
